In November 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Serene Landscapes of Mount Xi by Wang Yun. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 132,000.00 (€ 12,800.84), 65% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure Landscape in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 2,185,000.00 (€ 213,887.07).
