Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Landscapes by Wang Yun. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 81,250.00 (€ 65,949.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Yun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figure Landscape, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 2,185,000.00 (€ 213,887.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscapes von Wang Yun zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 65.949,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Yun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figure Landscape beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 2.185.000,00 (€ 213.887,07) versteigert wurde.
