Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wang Yun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Enjoying Coolness in the Early Autumn sold for HKD 1,240,000.00 (€ 117,272.73) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wang Yun; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Figure Landscape sold at auction in April 2013 with the realized price of HKD 2,185,000.00 (€ 213,887.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Yun erzielte im Mai 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Enjoying Coolness in the Early Autumn für HKD 1.240.000,00 (€ 117.272,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wang Yun; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Figure Landscape im April 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 2.185.000,00 (€ 213.887,07).
