Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wang Yuanqi could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscape in the Style of Ni Zan changed hands for USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,617.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yuanqi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape Inspired by Huang Gongwang in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 48,475,000.00 (€ 5,219,068.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Yuanqi konnte im September 2017 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Landscape in the Style of Ni Zan für USD 56.250,00 (€ 47.617,03) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yuanqi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape Inspired by Huang Gongwang im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 48.475.000,00 (€ 5.219.068,33).
