Nine collectors’ seals: including two of Zhang Zhiwan (1811-1897), six of Gao Peilan (19th Century) and one of Li Hanwen (1811- after 1862)
Colophons by Li Hanwen, with a total of five seals
Titleslip by Li Hanwen, dated fourth month, xinyou year (1861) of the Xianfeng period, with one seal

A top price for Wang Yuanqi
When the work Landscape Inspired by Huang Gongwang by Wang Yuanqi was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 5,000,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than nine times as high at HKD 48,475,000.00 (€ 5,219,068.33). This high result makes Landscape Inspired by Huang Gongwang the most expensive artwork by Wang Yuanqi that we have observed at auctions so far.

Als die Arbeit Landscape Inspired by Huang Gongwang von Wang Yuanqi im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 5.000.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 48.475.000,00 (€ 5.219.068,33) mehr als neunmal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Landscape Inspired by Huang Gongwang zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Wang Yuanqi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
