A set of eleven loose album leaves, ink and colour/ink on paper
Each leaf measures 35 x 30.2 cm. (13 3/4 x 11 7/8 in.)
Ten leaves of painting: eight leaves inscribed and two leaves inscribed and signed, with a total of twelve seals of the artist
First leaf dated spring, wuzi year (1708)
One leaf of colophon by the artist, dated winter, wuzi year (1708) with three seals
Five collector’s seals including two of Wu Weiguang (1743-1803)
Titleslip by Wu Weiguang, dated gengshen year (1800), signed with two seals

The work Landscape after Song and Yuan Masters by Wang Yuanqi was worth HKD 26,995,000.00 (€ 3,154,360.81) to a buyer in June this year. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 5,000,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wang Yuanqi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Landscape Inspired by Huang Gongwang sold at auction in November 2017 with the realized price of HKD 48,475,000.00 (€ 5,219,068.33).

Die Arbeit Landscape after Song and Yuan Masters von Wang Yuanqi war einem Käufer im Juni diesen Jahres HKD 26.995.000,00 (€ 3.154.360,81) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 5.000.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wang Yuanqi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Landscape Inspired by Huang Gongwang im November 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 48.475.000,00 (€ 5.219.068,33).
