Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Retreat in Autumn Mountain by Wang Yuanqi. It changed hands for a price of HKD 1,386,000.00 (€ 160,376.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yuanqi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape Inspired by Huang Gongwang in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 48,475,000.00 (€ 5,219,068.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Retreat in Autumn Mountain von Wang Yuanqi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 1.386.000,00 (€ 160.376,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yuanqi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape Inspired by Huang Gongwang im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 48.475.000,00 (€ 5.219.068,33).
