Upper estimate price exceeded by 39 %.
The work Cat by Wang Yachen was sold in the Modern Art Online auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in February last year. It achieved a price of HKD 13,860.00 (€ 1,579.38), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yachen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,725,000.00 (€ 163,693.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Cat von Wang Yachen wurde im Februar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Art Online bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 13.860,00 (€ 1.579,38) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yachen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.725.000,00 (€ 163.693,54).
