The work Poppy and Butterfly by Wang Wu was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2012. It achieved a price of HKD 118,750.00 (€ 12,370.59), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 48%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Wu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album Of Flowers Paintings in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 2,127,500.00 (€ 201,888.70).

Die Arbeit Poppy and Butterfly von Wang Wu wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 12.370,59) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 48%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Wu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Album Of Flowers Paintings im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.127.500,00 (€ 201.888,70).
