Artwork auctioned at eight times the upper estimate price
The work Flowers, Rock, Birds and Insects by Wang Wu was worth HKD 625,000.00 (€ 61,980.29) to a buyer in May 2013. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Wu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Album Of Flowers Paintings, which sold at auction in October 2013 for HKD 2,127,500.00 (€ 201,888.70).

Die Arbeit Flowers, Rock, Birds and Insects von Wang Wu war einem Käufer im Mai 2013 HKD 625.000,00 (€ 61.980,29) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Wu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Album Of Flowers Paintings beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für HKD 2.127.500,00 (€ 201.888,70) versteigert wurde.
