Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peonies by Wang Wu was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2014. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 6,804.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Wu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album Of Flowers Paintings in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 2,127,500.00 (€ 201,888.70).
