Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Joy of Autumn by Wang Wu was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,854.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Wu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album Of Flowers Paintings in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 2,127,500.00 (€ 201,888.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Joy of Autumn von Wang Wu kam im Mai 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.854,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Wu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Album Of Flowers Paintings im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.127.500,00 (€ 201.888,70).
