Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Wang Wenzhi was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The price achieved of HKD 56,700.00 (€ 6,794.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Wenzhi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy After Masters in April this year with an auction result of HKD 516,000.00 (€ 526,936.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Wang Wenzhi wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 56.700,00 (€ 6.794,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Wenzhi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy After Masters im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 516.000,00 (€ 526.936,96).
