A top price for Wang Li - as previously expected
In October 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Cranes By The Pine by Wang Li. The price achieved of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,890.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cranes By The Pine is the most expensive artwork by Wang Li that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cranes By The Pine von Wang Li zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 16.890,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Cranes By The Pine das teuerste Kunstwerk von Wang Li, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
