Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flowers for New Year’s Day by Wang Li was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The price achieved of HKD 37,800.00 (€ 4,529.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Li - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cranes By The Pine, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,890.22).
