Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction The Su Zhu An Collection of Chinese Paintings and Inkstones (Paintings Section), which included the work Flowers And Poems by Wang Guxiang. It changed hands for a price of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 35,554.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Guxiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers and Birds in May 2006 with an auction result of HKD 1,440,000.00 (€ 144,639.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion The Su Zhu An Collection of Chinese Paintings and Inkstones (Paintings Section) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowers And Poems von Wang Guxiang zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 35.554,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Guxiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers and Birds im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.440.000,00 (€ 144.639,60).
