This artwork by Wang Guxiang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2003. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Birthday Gathering Of Immortals sold for HKD 155,350.00 (€ 16,178.61) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Guxiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers and Birds in May 2006 with an auction result of HKD 1,440,000.00 (€ 144,639.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Guxiang erzielte im Juli 2003 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Birthday Gathering Of Immortals für HKD 155.350,00 (€ 16.178,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Guxiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers and Birds im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.440.000,00 (€ 144.639,60).
