Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal, which included the work Landscape by Wan Shanglin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,235.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Wan Shanglin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2016 the work Various Objects was auctioned for HKD 141,600.00 (€ 16,663.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Wan Shanglin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.235,32) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Wan Shanglin konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2016 die Arbeit Various Objects für HKD 141.600,00 (€ 16.663,38) versteigert.
