Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April last year Bonhams in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Nila by Walton Ford. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,128.55), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walton Ford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bitter Gulfs in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,445,000.00 (€ 1,059,384.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nila von Walton Ford zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 2.128,55) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walton Ford erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bitter Gulfs im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.445.000,00 (€ 1.059.384,16).
