Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Walton Ford achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in April last year. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Limed Blossoms (Deluxe Edition) sold for GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,321.37) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walton Ford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bitter Gulfs in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,445,000.00 (€ 1,059,384.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Walton Ford erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wurde die Arbeit Limed Blossoms (Deluxe Edition) für GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.321,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walton Ford erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bitter Gulfs im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.445.000,00 (€ 1.059.384,16).
