Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Costellazione 3 by Walter Valentini was auctioned at Christies in Milan in May 2001. The price achieved of ITL 2,450,000.00 (€ 2,318.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as ITL 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Valentini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La città del Sole, which sold at auction in December 2015 for EUR 7,000.00.

Die Arbeit Costellazione 3 von Walter Valentini kam im Mai 2001 bei Christies in Mailand zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von ITL 2.450.000,00 (€ 2.318,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit ITL 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Walter Valentini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La città del Sole beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für EUR 7.000,00 versteigert wurde.
