Auction result well in line with expectations
The work El Cacique del Pueblo by Walter Ufer was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2015. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,000.00 (€ 68,219.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Ufer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gateway in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,497,000.00 (€ 962,082.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit El Cacique del Pueblo von Walter Ufer kam im Mai 2015 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 68.219,03) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Ufer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Gateway im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.497.000,00 (€ 962.082,26).
