Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work After The Chapel Hour by Walter Ufer. Here, the upper estimate of USD 800,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 818,500.00 (€ 569,351.70). Other works by Walter Ufer have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 1,497,000.00 (€ 962,082.26) in May 2008 for the work The Gateway.

Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit After The Chapel Hour von Walter Ufer zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 800.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 818.500,00 (€ 569.351,70) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Walter Ufer haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.497.000,00 (€ 962.082,26) im Mai 2008 für die Arbeit The Gateway beobachtet.
