The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,438.72), 71% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Stuempfig - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Boys Playing in a Square, Philadelphia, which sold at auction in March 2015 for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,233.24).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.438,72) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Walter Stuempfig mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Boys Playing in a Square, Philadelphia beobachtet, die im März 2015 für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 11.233,24) versteigert wurde.
