Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Philadelphia South Side by Walter Stuempfig was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture Including the Collection of Dr. Mark and Irene Kauffman auction at Christies in New York in March 2012. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,687.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Stuempfig - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Boys Playing in a Square, Philadelphia, which sold at auction in March 2015 for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,233.24).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.687,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden.
