Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gypsy Children Playing Cards, Pitt Street, New York by Walter Rosenblum was sold in the The Gift of Photographs auction at Bonhams in December last year. The price achieved of USD 701.25 (€ 655.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Walter Rosenblum have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Candy Store; and Pitt Street, N.Y., 1938 in December 2011 with an auction result of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,817.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gypsy Children Playing Cards, Pitt Street, New York von Walter Rosenblum wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Gift of Photographs bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 701,25 (€ 655,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walter Rosenblum auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Candy Store; and Pitt Street, N.Y., 1938 im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.817,70).
