Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Children on Roof, Pitt St., N.Y., 1938 by Walter Rosenblum for USD 937.50 (€ 672.19). This price was achieved in the auction The American Landscape, Black and White Photographs from The Collection of Bruce and Nancy Berman at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Walter Rosenblum have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Candy Store; and Pitt Street, N.Y., 1938 in December 2011 with an auction result of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,817.70).
