Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The First Snowfall by Walter Launt Palmer was sold in the American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,300.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Walter Launt Palmer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winter Forest in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 198,000.00 (€ 147,179.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The First Snowfall von Walter Launt Palmer wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.300,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walter Launt Palmer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Winter Forest im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 198.000,00 (€ 147.179,07).
