Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Besides The Still Waters by Walter Withers was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in November 2005. It achieved a price of AUD 2,390.00 (€ 1,498.87), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Withers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Farmer'S Girl in May 2005 with an auction result of AUD 221,075.00 (€ 135,896.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Besides The Still Waters von Walter Withers kam im November 2005 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 2.390,00 (€ 1.498,87) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Withers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Farmer'S Girl im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 221.075,00 (€ 135.896,05).
