Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figure on a beaten track, a cottage and sheep beyond; and Children playing on a track, a river beyond by Walter Heath Williams was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2005. The price achieved of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,428.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Heath Williams - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On the Glas Lyn, which sold at auction in October 2004 for USD 19,120.00 (€ 15,000.78).

Die Arbeit Figure on a beaten track, a cottage and sheep beyond; and Children playing on a track, a river beyond von Walter Heath Williams kam im Mai 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 4.428,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Walter Heath Williams mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit On the Glas Lyn beobachtet, die im Oktober 2004 für USD 19.120,00 (€ 15.000,78) versteigert wurde.
