Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bemaltes Metallrelief by Walter Bodmer was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in June 2018. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,595.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Bodmer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Relief Relief, which sold at auction in November 2008 for CHF 40,000.00 (€ 25,902.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bemaltes Metallrelief von Walter Bodmer wurde im Juni 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.595,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Walter Bodmer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Relief Relief beobachtet, die im November 2008 für CHF 40.000,00 (€ 25.902,00) versteigert wurde.
