Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction The Scottish Sale, which included the work Morning By The Harbour; Evening By The Harbour; By The River; Willow Tree by Waller Hugh Paton. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,754.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Waller Hugh Paton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Loch Achray - 'The pleased lake' in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,103.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Scottish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Morning By The Harbour; Evening By The Harbour; By The River; Willow Tree von Waller Hugh Paton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.754,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Waller Hugh Paton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Loch Achray - 'The pleased lake' im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.600,00 (€ 67.103,49).
