The work An Ancient Willow In The Grounds Of Hermitage Castle, Roxburghshire by Waller Hugh Paton was sold in the A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. It achieved a price of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,871.55), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Waller Hugh Paton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Loch Achray - 'The pleased lake' in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,103.49).

Die Arbeit An Ancient Willow In The Grounds Of Hermitage Castle, Roxburghshire von Waller Hugh Paton wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.871,55) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Waller Hugh Paton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Loch Achray - 'The pleased lake' im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.600,00 (€ 67.103,49).
