This artwork by Wahab Saheed achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in March this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction auction, the work without title sold for USD 19,050.00 (€ 17,522.08) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wahab Saheed have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Actual Queen in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 81,900.00 (€ 72,561.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wahab Saheed erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 19.050,00 (€ 17.522,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wahab Saheed auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Actual Queen im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 72.561,35).
