Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of AUD 10,200.00 (€ 6,099.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Beckwith McInnes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian The Bathers, which sold at auction in May 2009 for AUD 38,400.00 (€ 21,728.10).
