Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek white Wall by Vlassis Caniaris was sold in the European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in November 2011. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,566.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vlassis Caniaris have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Hommage Aux Murs D'Athènes in May 2009 with an auction result of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 63,205.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Greek white Wall von Vlassis Caniaris wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.566,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vlassis Caniaris auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Hommage Aux Murs D'Athènes im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 63.205,44).
