Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek untitled by Vlassis Caniaris was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,937.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Vlassis Caniaris have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Hommage Aux Murs D'Athènes in May 2009 with an auction result of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 63,205.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Greek untitled von Vlassis Caniaris kam im November 2010 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.937,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vlassis Caniaris auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Hommage Aux Murs D'Athènes im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 63.205,44).
