Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Aspects Du Racisme by Vlassis Caniaris. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,299.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vlassis Caniaris have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Hommage Aux Murs D'Athènes in May 2009 with an auction result of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 63,205.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek Aspects Du Racisme von Vlassis Caniaris zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.299,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vlassis Caniaris auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Hommage Aux Murs D'Athènes im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 63.205,44).
