Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Resistance by Vlassis Caniaris. The price achieved of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 45,038.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Vlassis Caniaris have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2009 the work Greek Hommage Aux Murs D'Athènes was auctioned for GBP 55,250.00 (€ 63,205.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek Resistance von Vlassis Caniaris zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 45.038,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Vlassis Caniaris konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2009 die Arbeit Greek Hommage Aux Murs D'Athènes für GBP 55.250,00 (€ 63.205,44) versteigert.
