Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek Untitled by Vlassis Caniaris was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Sothebys in London in April 2008. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,748.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vlassis Caniaris have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Hommage Aux Murs D'Athènes in May 2009 with an auction result of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 63,205.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Greek Untitled von Vlassis Caniaris wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.748,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vlassis Caniaris auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Hommage Aux Murs D'Athènes im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 63.205,44).
