Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Croatian in The Boudoir by Vlaho Bukovac was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 25,571.53). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vlaho Bukovac - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Croatian a Moment'S Distraction, which sold at auction in November 2011 for GBP 58,850.00 (€ 68,701.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Croatian in The Boudoir von Vlaho Bukovac im November 2013 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 25.571,53) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Vlaho Bukovac mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Croatian a Moment'S Distraction beobachtet, die im November 2011 für GBP 58.850,00 (€ 68.701,35) versteigert wurde.
