Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Croatian In The Boudoir by Vlaho Bukovac was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,459.57). Admittedly, works by Vlaho Bukovac have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Croatian a Moment'S Distraction in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 58,850.00 (€ 68,701.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Croatian In The Boudoir von Vlaho Bukovac im Dezember 2014 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.459,57) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vlaho Bukovac auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Croatian a Moment'S Distraction im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 58.850,00 (€ 68.701,35).
