Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection, which included the work Tall and Short Columns by Vladimir Weisberg. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 69,300.00 (€ 82,660.36), 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vladimir Weisberg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reclining Nude, which sold at auction in November 2012 for GBP 229,250.00 (€ 282,412.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tall and Short Columns von Vladimir Weisberg zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 69.300,00 (€ 82.660,36) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Vladimir Weisberg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Reclining Nude beobachtet, die im November 2012 für GBP 229.250,00 (€ 282.412,74) versteigert wurde.
