Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Escape Artists 2.0: The Non-Conformists Online, which included the work Six Cubes by Vladimir Weisberg. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,000.00 (€ 67,234.42) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vladimir Weisberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reclining Nude in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 229,250.00 (€ 282,412.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Escape Artists 2.0: The Non-Conformists Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Six Cubes von Vladimir Weisberg zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 67.234,42) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vladimir Weisberg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reclining Nude im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 229.250,00 (€ 282.412,74).
