Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Children At Play by Vladimir Makovsky was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2012. It changed hands for a price of GBP 43,250.00 (€ 53,279.61) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vladimir Makovsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Rag Market In Moscow in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,329,250.00 (€ 1,607,163.15).
