This artwork by Vladimir Makovsky achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2019. In the Russian Art auction, the work Tea drinking sold for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,457.04) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vladimir Makovsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Rag Market In Moscow in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,329,250.00 (€ 1,607,163.15).
