Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bad Drawing For Dost by Vivan Sundaram was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,300.00 (€ 2,467.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vivan Sundaram achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Passage in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 51,000.00 (€ 42,013.35).

Die Arbeit Bad Drawing For Dost von Vivan Sundaram kam im März 2007 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.300,00 (€ 2.467,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vivan Sundaram erzielen.
