This work of art by Virginie Demont-Breton could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work French Les Premiers Pas changed hands for USD 23,750.00 (€ 19,094.71) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Virginie Demont-Breton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Femme De Pêcheur Venant De Baigner Ses Enfants in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 543,000.00 (€ 477,194.83).
