Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Au Pays Bleu by Virginie Demont-Breton. The price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 28,014.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Virginie Demont-Breton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Femme De Pêcheur Venant De Baigner Ses Enfants in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 543,000.00 (€ 477,194.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Au Pays Bleu von Virginie Demont-Breton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 28.014,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Virginie Demont-Breton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Femme De Pêcheur Venant De Baigner Ses Enfants im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 543.000,00 (€ 477.194,83).
