In February 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work French Fillette À La Guirlande De Fleurs Des Champs by Virginie Demont-Breton. The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,364.36) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Virginie Demont-Breton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Femme De Pêcheur Venant De Baigner Ses Enfants in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 543,000.00 (€ 477,194.83).
